Maintenance Specialist 

General Responsibilities and Function:

• Coordinate and participate in activities as needed with plant personnel (i.e. Project Engineering, Production Leader, Production Control, Quality Engineering, etc.) to maintain maximum utilization.
• Participate in and track project open issues (PM’s and work orders) for all projects.
• Troubleshoots programming, fixtures and production related issues as necessary by operating and/or observing equipment to detect malfunctions or non-conforming conditions and adjusts machine controls as required. .
• Support development of machine specifications for new equipment, machines and tooling.
• Investigate root cause of quality failures and make permanent corrective actions with respect to forming, and trim & sizing in bellows forming
• Assist in training team leaders, maintenance, tooling as needed.
• Monitor equipment cumulative cycles for predictive machine rebuild activity
• Conduct and lead major equipment rebuild activity
• Execute and verify quality of PM activity
• Assist in the development of techniques for specified production process (tube welding, hydroforming, assembly, liner manufacturing)
• Resolved production issues related to processes
• Recommend appropriate equipment and settings, working closely with engineer
• Work with manufacturing team to create process control documentation for each process.
• Work with quality team to create and coordinate testing activities and reporting requirements.
• Support designs of fixtures
• Provide technical guidance and expertise on process related issues.
• Research, develop and test new processes and procedures in conjunction with the Engineer.
• Sets up and operates robot during initial production to verify accuracy of machine settings and programmed data.
• Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
• Assist in development, maintenance of and training of Work Instructions
• Assist in set-up, start-up and operation of production runs.
• Aide in cycle improvement

Qualification Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic and mechanical repairs and troubleshooting

Strong knowledge of material processing, tooling and part fabrication.
